    Is there any way for me to access this ai information and use it to teambuild and check for counters to my team? Maybe a way to use the machine learning along with an ai bot to conversate and workout problems and build a team for the current meta?

    Hello! I am a Data Science student at Case Western Reserve University. I first watched these videos when they were close to new, and have an opportunity coming to do a self lead project at school. I would love to attempt something similar to you -- either in a sort of "replication study" or trying to use the developments of the intervening years to try a new approach. I would love to connect with you regarding this. I will post this on the other videos as well, I hope you see it!

    I am sorry, there's a big mistake at the beginning of the video. You said that the "AI tries to play like a normal Human", "even at a competitive level", but those two statements are contradictory. Competitive level players definetly aren't humans

    What if you marked some outcomes as random that would take too long to analyze. The AI would then ignore these outcomes to focus on other outcomes and update on the fly as needed.

    I think that a large part of Pokemon's battle "complexity" is just noise because a vast majority of Pokemon and moves are so weak that they're irrelevant.

    There are actually a bunch of moves that metronome can NOT call. From generation 5 onwards, it cannot call Transform.

  • @mikec4390
    @mikec4390 8 месяцев назад

    idk if this is something you still update, but the browser extension could probably be updated easily enough to be compatible with random battles because there are a finite number of moves each Pokemon in it can have and the EV spread and levels are always the same when a given Pokemon is selected. Most importantly, you can check which moves each one has available using a chat command on Showdown. Typing /randbats <pokemon name> and hitting enter will show you all the relevant data for a Pokemon's possible sets in random battle, including tera type in gen 9. With a more limited potential move set, it prevents the AI from being thrown off by cockamamie gimmick or niche sets it isn't prepared for. Random battle also features almost exclusively fully evolved Pokemon, with the few exceptions being ones that are viable with eviolite.
